Instructions for Symposia & oral presentations
Oral presentations scheduled in Oral Communications 1 and Oral Communications 2 should have a duration of 15 minutes, excluding discussion. Please adhere strictly to the 15-minute time limit to ensure fairness to all presenters and maintain the session schedule.
Presentations in .ppt format, pptx. format and .pdf format will be accepted. Please note that while there is no specific template, presenters should use a 16:9 aspect ratio to optimize display on the conference screens. If you have created your presentation in Apple .ppt, please test it on a Windows PC to ensure that it displays correctly.
Avoid any external links in your presentation. The presentation computers do not have an internet connection. It is recommended to embed any video or audio files directly into your presentation to avoid playback issues.
Non-standard fonts should be embedded.
All pictures and graphs must be embedded without links.
Please meet your session chairs inside the conference room at least 10 minutes prior to the beginning of your oral session, to copy your file to the computer and familiarize yourself with the technical equipment. It is strongly recommended to arrive 20-30 minutes early to allow time for troubleshooting any technical difficulties. Bring your presentation on a USB drive and have it accessible via cloud storage as a backup.
Instructions for poster presentations
Your poster should be upright/portrait style with DIN A0 format: width: max. 33 inches (84 cm), height: max. 47 inches (119 cm).
There is no specific poster template. However, presenters are encouraged to use a clear and concise layout with easily readable fonts and graphics. Please make sure that letters are sufficiently large to be read from a distance of 1-2 m.
A poster typically includes the logo of your institution and the logo of the conference.
During the poster sessions, all authors are required to stand at their poster to engage with attendees as they visit the posters. Be prepared to give a brief overview of your research and answer questions.
To present your poster, there will be three dedicated poster sessions throughout the designated day of the conference programme, during lunch and two coffee brakes. The posters will be on constant display the entire time of the designated day outside these sessions too.
Poster Mounting & Removal times will be communicated by e-mail to all presenters. You are responsible for printing your poster in advance and for putting it up at the conference site. It is not possible to print posters at the conference site directly. Posters that are not removed at the designated removal time will be discarded. The conference organizers are not responsible for posters left after the removal time.
